BLOUSED UP BODYCON
To say that we are obsessed with this knit midi skirt is an understatement! When Haley texted me that they had finally arrived, I asked her which color she was going to get, fully knowing her answer would be the same as mine, "Both."
This hot pink color + white sneakers is a must-have, in our opinion, but if neon isn't your thing, she is also available in a light heather grey that is light enough to still show off the texture of the rib knit. See what we mean? You want both now too, don't you?
This chunky rib knit style is decidedly free people-casual, so if you're looking for something a little dressier, or sexier, check out these other knit midi skirts from MINKPINK:
I feel like ever since that episode of Seinfeld, blousy sleeved skirts have gotten a bad rap and it's not fair! We love a little drama in our clothing and the blouse sleeve is a great way to add the fun of last season's bell sleeves while still being able to eat dinner with two hands. (you know what I'm talking about) Another thing I love about this silhouette is the way is the drop shoulder. A Free People favorite, this top is a great option for those of you who have never been able to rock the drop shoulder before because of the way the bloused bottom of the sleeve balances the whole arm out!
Loving the dramatic sleeve but want something a little more fitted? Try one of these tops--they're definitely not skimping on the drama:
COZY SUMMER NIGHTS
There's something so cozy about coming in after a day outside in the sun and putting on a cozy pullover to keep comfortable as the a/c threatens to freeze your freshly sun kissed skin.
IN LOVE with these shorts! Midrise and the perfect length, I've already worn them more than once in the two weeks I've owned them, and I am not a shorts person. At all.
The rise is legit the perfect height on me and I have a really long torso, so on someone with a shorter torso, these would fit like a high-rise.
The legs are fitted but not tight--a huge deal for me when it comes to shorts. Another amazing thing is the length. It's a really nice 2.5-3" if you leave them long, but they also fold up to be a not too short cuffed short as well.
Available in WHITE, BLACK, and BLUE (think standard med light-wash denim)
new post dedicated to styling these faves coming soon!
BLUE JEAN BABY
Why is it that everything seems to go with a denim jacket in the summer? This oversized jacket by Free People is ohsosoft and just the right amount of boxy to be super flattering on every bodytype. An update to their denim trucker jackets from years past, this style is more feminine and more fitted, while still retaining that 'I borrowed this from my boyfriend' vibe. Highly recommend.
The oversized denim jacket look not your thing? Take a look at these other styles currently in stock:
Obviously, we love us a good denim jacket, especially by Free People. It's one of the few things they never get wrong!
From BB Dakota, we give you both sides of the white denim jacket spectrum: on the left is a clean, classic slightly baggy denim jacket in a soft, lightweight stretchy denim, while the right is her edgy little sister. Featuring a cropped length and heavily distressed rip detailing throughout. We love her paired with a girly dress and sneakers for a casual date night!
Dude, if you aren't already coveting this dress, you haven't been reading the blog lately because we just posted a whole love letter to this beauty. If now you're curious, you can find it here.
If you've looking for a cool way to rock the biker shorts trend, search no further--the Beating Hearts top has arrived. Half blouse, half jacket, we were obsessed with this top as soon as our rep walked into our appointment wearing it! We know this blouse + biker shorts look isn't for everyone but don't worry--this top looks great with skinny or straight leg jeans, cut offs, or a high waisted wide leg pant if you're lucky enough to be tall enough!
If you know, you know. It doesn't get much more comfortable than Free People's seamless collections. Whether it's a brami, a crop, a bodysuit, or even biker shorts, you really can't go wrong--especially when you factor in all the countless ways to can wear them!
