Desert Dreams

We are officially into Summer and this humidity has us dreaming of dry desert heat and poolside cocktails. I guess we'll have to compromise with a little styling how-to with desert vibes and our favorite new L*Space bikini paired with those Mother Jeans we can't shut up about.

We hate the idea of only getting to show off our favorite L*Space swimsuits only at the pool so we jump at any opportunity to work them into our daywear, even if it's just for a few minutes before we hit the pool!

Throwing a solid colored button-down over a bikini may seem like a no-brainer, but it's the pairing of the bold colorblock bikini top and leopard print belt and then mirroring the colorblock again in the block sandals that elevates this outfit beyond the typical toss-anything-on swimsuit cover-up look.

Love the look but not feeling confident enough to rock the bikini as a top? Just button the black blouse up, stopping a button below where you would normally and let the white peak out and then finish with a half-tuck in front. The back of this top is split so a slouchy half-tuck is a perfect compliment and ensures you won't get too warm before the pool!

Opting for a chunky block sandal is a stylish alternative to a flip flop or flat sandal. They look great with almost every silhouette, whether dress, shorts, or pants, and the wide low set heel means that you won't sacrifice comfort or mobility in them. A PERFECT shoe for traveling when space in your bag is limited. Did I mention that I'm obsessed with the white/black color combination with the subtle lizard embossed pattern? It's perfection.

Accessorize with a simple gold-filled lariat that will survive the pool, statement patterned belt topping off a vintage fit jean like our faves the Tomcat by Mother Denim and you're done!
